Instructor Bret Spoehr Now the students of the Club will travel to St Johns to see him, and to test. The Club will continue under SonBae Nim Kevin Elliott. Instructor Bret Spoehr is excited to have the opportunity to bring Hwa Rang Do® to Tallahassee. Florida State University is the site of the first Hwa Rang Do®/Tae Soo Do® club in the state, and has proved to be a dynamic addition to the family of this ancient Korean martial and healing art. Certified as Instructor by the World Hwa Rang Do Association, SaBum Nim Spoehr is one of the youngest 3rd Degree Black Sashes in the world, and FSU has been the only college club taught exclusively by an Instructor of this rank!
Intructor Spoehr has trained in Hwa Rang Do since 1995, beginning in Madison, WI, then going on to be the head instructor at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire Club in 2004. He continues to train under the Supreme Grandmaster and Founder of Hwa Rang Do, Dr. Joo Bang Lee, and Chief Master Taejoon Lee.
